Looking back - A time of reflecting with a grateful heart

As I sit here on this beautiful sunny, snowy, rainy spring morning in England, I can't help but say with a grateful heart- Psalms 126:3 "The LORD has done great thingfor us, and we are filled with joy." Thank you Lord!

This land physically has all sorts of seasons; so spiritually in our lives we also. For you see, 3 years ago today on March 4th, Bob and I marched forth with courage into a new season of our lives moving to a new land, England--the land He has called us to love.

We set forth in our hearts with many Scriptures confirming, and 12 moving tubs in hand, having no expectations. God has been faithful and still is faithful to see us through each and everyday.

Scriptures upon Scriptures were given to us such as Deuteronomy 11:11 "...the land you will soon take over is a land of hills and valleys with plenty of rain"
Deuteronomy 11:12 "...a land that the Lord your God cares for. He watches over it through each season of the year!"

Here are a few more....
Scriptures of trust-
Psalm 37
Vs 3 -Trust in The Lord and do good. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper. Take delight in The Lord and he will give you your hearts desires.
Vs.5 - commit everything you do to The Lord, trust Him and He will help you.
Vs.7- Be still in the presence of The Lord and wait patiently for him to act.
Vs.23-The Lord directs the steps of the godly.he delights in every detail of their lives.

Scriptures of hope-
Psalm 36:9 - For you are the fountain to life, the light by which we see.
Hebrews 11:27 He kept right on going because he kept his eyes on the one who is invisible.

Scriptures of courage-
Deut. 31:6-8 - Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or panic before them. For The Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

Scriptures of joy-
Psalm 105:1-6 - 1 Give thanks to The Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done. 2 Sing to Him; yes, sing His praises.  Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. 3 Exalt in His holy name; rejoice, you who worship The Lord. 4 Search for The Lord and for His strength; continually seek Hi m. 5 Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles and the rulings He has given, 6 you...His chosen ones.
Psalm 68:19
Praise the Lord; praise God our savior!
For each day He carries us in his arms.

Looking back, God truly has taken us through valleys and hilltops. Though we have not had hundreds come to profess a new faith in the Lord, the discipleship of the believers has been incredible. Many hearts have been touched by the Lord in marvelous ways.

Some of the others exciting things that have happened are - A new church, Plymouth, has developed through outreach. Several Bible studies have been planted in various villages throughout the Southwest. The families in Exeter Calvary have grown through our consistency of Bible studies and monthly gatherings of such. And the Uni students have found a "home of love" as they have studied here in this land, both spiritually and physically drawing close to our Lord. We also have a ministry to our surrounding neighbors of God's love and care.

God is good, faithful and true. We continue to plow the fields, taking one step at a time. Though we are getting older each year our spirit is continuing to stay young and alive indeed being thankful. Thank you, prayer warriors and supporters, for helping us through these past 3 years. We so appreciate you investing in the work here in England.

Some of the recent news that's going on. The Lord has opened doors for me to do ladies Bible studies in a few of the surrounding villages of  Exeter. This has been an exciting time to share the "good news."

I am also going to be teaching 'Titus 2' type classes to the Uni students starting in April. The first class will be called "the Iron-man class" which will teach the boys how to properly iron. Pictures to follow. We will then go into cooking, cleaning, effectively helping them to sustain while at Uni in their flats. Incorporating body ministry here, I am hoping to draw in some English ladies in our fellowship to help teach these basic skills. Should be lots of fun, as we fellowship and get to know one another better.

God bless you my friends. Again thank you for everything, and may the Lord bless you as you have blessed us with your sweet friendship.

Philippians 1:6 "he who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it."
Psalm 89:1 "I will sing about the Lords great love forever.. With my mouth I will proclaim your faithfulness to all generations"

Because of Him,🐾🇬🇧
