Blog 19- Times of Reflecting, refreshing, and refocus for 2014

As I sit in the Arizona sun these past few weeks on furlough, I can't help but reflect on all God has done in and thru our lives in 2013. A year ago, Bob and I set out to a unknown land that we grew to love, England. All we had were 12 moving boxes, pages of confirming scriptures in our hearts to go, and a willingness to serve with no expectations on what God was going to do. We knew He would provide for our spiritual, emotional, and physical needs as we stepped out in faith, always remembering He would go before us in all we did. In psalm 32:8,The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you ". So, off we set to do God's leading. And it has been truly an amazing year, filled with His goodness, His guidance, and His greatness in affecting the people's lives here in the U.K. We have seen people's hearts not only respond to the Gospel, but grow daily through reading His Word, discipling through bible studies and then applying His truths to their daily lives. I am reminded of that scripture which says, Psalm 118:23 "For this is the Lord's doing, and it is wonderful to see."

We've had an opportunity to go to a missions conference while we were in the States. It was such a blessing to fellowship with other missionaries and also to be refreshed for a few days as we studied the portion of scripture found in John 20:21 which states Jesus' words "As my Father hath sent me, even so I send you."

During this time it also allowed us to refocus and renew our vision for the upcoming year of 2014 and what God has planned for our churches in Exeter and Wotter.

We are so excited to get back now to England, feeling refreshed in our spirits to see all He is going to do this year in the land we call home.

Again, thanks you for your prayers and looking forward In keeping you in touch
as the year progresses.

Psalm 105:1-6 "Give thanks to The Lord and proclaim His greatness. Let the whole world know what He has done. Sing to Him; yes, sing His praises.  Tell everyone about his wonderful deeds. Exalt in His holy name; rejoice, you who worship The Lord. Search for The Lord and for His strength; continually seek Him. Remember the wonders he has performed, his miracles and the rulings He has given, you...His chosen ones."
